LIMELIGHT™ AND ROSACEA
Rosacea is a skin condition characterized by facial skin redness. Although rosacea is a chronic condition with no known permanent cure, LimeLight™ treatments can target rosacea symptoms, resulting in noticeable improvement to the redness and overall appearance of skin. For enhanced results, Limelight™ can be combined with Laser Genesis treatments.
-HOW LIMELIGHT™ WORKS
LimeLight™ is a non-ablative treatment, which means it is a comfortable, non-invasive therapy that penetrates your skin without damaging the surface. The heat from the powerful, pulsed light reaches the deeper layers of your skin, targeting and destroying pigmented cells. As the light pulses, you'll feel slight pinching sensations. A cooling gel can be applied to the treatment area to ensure your comfort.
Depending on the treatment area, most LimeLight™ sessions take less than one hour. While each patient responds differently, most see a significant improvement after one to three treatment sessions. For patients with significantly sun-damaged skin, additional treatments may be recommended.
To ensure long-lasting results, we highly recommend using a broad spectrum mineral-based sun block.
LimeLight™ works best on light or medium skin tones. During your personal consultation, we will assess your skin condition and treatment goals, and then determine whether you're a good candidate for LimeLight™.

AFTER LIMELIGHT™ TREATMENTS
LimeLight™ is a relatively gentle approach to skin rejuvenation. As such, it takes time for results to appear. After your session, the treatment area will darken as the damaged pigment cells rise to the top layer of your skin and eventually flake off and fade away. This discoloration is temporary and can usually be covered with makeup. At consultations, we recommend that patients avoid scheduling LimeLight™ skin rejuvenation treatments before a big event.
Two to three weeks after your LimeLight™ treatment, you'll enjoy smoother skin, a more even skin tone, and an overall refreshed appearance.
Some patients experience temporary redness and swelling for approximately 48 hours after their LimeLight™ treatment. Your skin will be extra sensitive and susceptible to damage while it's healing from LimeLight™ treatments.
While it may be tempting, don't rub or scratch the treatment area if it's itchy. It's also important to avoid sun exposure while your skin heals.
