LASER HAIR REMOVAL FOR TORONTO AND GTA
Laser hair removal is an easy and safe way to permanently reduce unwanted face and body hair. Unlike waxing and shaving, which require daily to monthly maintenance, or electrolysis, which can be painful and time consuming, laser hair removal can quickly and comfortably treat large areas of skin with long lasting, permanent hair reduction. On average, most of our patients experience up to 95% permanent hair reduction. With each treatment you can look forward to the remaining hair growing back thinner, finer, and lighter.
Effective on both men and women, laser hair removal is great if you:
- Feel self-conscious about your face and body hair
- Have unwanted hair that limits your ability to wear certain types of clothing
- Desire a long lasting alternative to waxing, shaving, and bleaching
Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
There are numerous benefits to laser hair removal such as:
- Permanent hair loss in 6-8 sessions
- Ability to treat both small and large areas of skin including face, legs, arms, underarms, chest, areolas, and bikini line
- Unlike other laser hair removal clinics, the advanced laser technology available at Madronich Plastic Surgery and Laser is effective on patients of all skin tones and skin types
Laser Hair Removal vs. Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a time consuming and painful procedure in which a needle must deliver an electrical charge to each individual hair follicle in the treated area. Although the results can be permanent, they can often take years to achieve. Laser hair removal, on the other hand, is fast, and non-invasive with minimal discomfort.

How Laser Hair Removal Works
During your treatment, our highly trained registered nurse will apply a pulse of very concentrated light to the area being treated. This light is designed to penetrate deep into your hair follicles, destroying hair that is in the active growth phase. Since not all of your hair grows at the same time, most areas will need between 6-8 treatments to achieve optimal results. Other factors that may influence the number of treatments are age, hormone levels, medications, and ethnicity.
After your procedure, the treated area may look a bit red or swollen. These effects typically subside within 1-2 hours. In very rare instances, you may experience some blistering similar to a sunburn. Although you can immediately return to your normal activities, we do suggest that you limit your sun exposure and liberally apply sunblock. Dr. Madronich or our registered nurse may suggest that you use specially formulated skin products. These options will be discussed with you in detail during your initial free consultation with our registered nurse.
